What is Front Sight?

Front Sight is the largest civilian firearms training organization in the United States of America. Front Sight trains thousands of people every year in a wide variety of disciplines including Handgun, Rifle, Shotgun, Submachine Gun, M-16, and Empty-Hand Defense. Front Sight's operations run 365 days a year, though training during July and August is limited due to the high temperatures at the training site near Las Vegas, NV. Front Sight has been in business for over 15 years, and the team that has organized this website has been interacting with Front Sight for more than 10 of those years.

If you are interested in learning more about Front Sight, this is a great site to get the information you are looking for. The videos on this page are a good place to start. Additionally, we have an 80 page FREE Front Sight Travel Guide and a monthly Newsletter that will be sent out to everyone on our mailing list. The Newsletter will include travel and training tips and course reviews from those who have recently attended Front Sight.

4. How do I attend Front Sight?… And how much does it cost?

The cost of attending a Front Sight course has become more economical. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions on saving money on Front Sight. I stay at the Saddle West Hotel. Front Sight students can get fairly inexpensive rooms at Saddle West. Of course you can always rent a gun and buy ammunition at Front Sight but for purchasing ammunition, I recommend Stockpile Defense.

Overall the expenses for FS are as listed:

1. First Family Membership- less than $1000
2. Travel- drive or fly
3. Hotel- Front Sight students pay about $60-$80 a night.
4. Ammunition- Typically up to $100-$300 depending on the type of Front Sight course and Caliber of your weapon.
TIP: You can buy your ammunition on site at Front Sight from a third party vendor called Stockpile Defense.
